A film looking at the migration across London of North London Greek Cypriots, and how they built a community.
Screening of documentary ‘From Camden to Enfield, A Cypriot Migration Story’ by Athena Mandis & Dr Petros Karatsareas. A poignant reflection on the Greek Cypriot communities' migration experiences, seen as a journey along the route of the 29 bus from Camden to Enfield. Supported by funds from the University of Westminster.

ABOUT
Athena Mandis is a Greek Cypriot award-winning filmmaker and Lecturer in Film Practice at QMUL. Before turning to film, she worked extensively in theatre with the David Glass Ensemble and Group K Theatre. Her first film, a feature doc RETURN TO CHIAPAS was her baptism of fire. Since then, she has directed several shorts and most recently directed her first fiction feature. She is developing a slate of narrative feature film projects. She has been selected to several film labs including Torino Early Development, Film London, Drama, and HerArts.
In collaboration with Dr Petros Karatsareas and supported through University of Westminster’s impact case study fund.
