James Farley | Writer/Performer

James is a queer and neurodivergent actor originally from Staordshire, now based in London. They have worked on a wide variety of projects including theatre (Above the Stag, Arcola), film (Turkish Ice Cream), television (Sexy Beast for Paramount+), and extensive immersive theatre experience (Secret Cinema, Punchdrunk).

GOOD BOY was originally devised in 2016 at the Manchester School of Theatre, in the immediate fallout of the events upon which the play is based on.

Over the last six years James has been developing and expanding this play, leading to being accepted onto Mrs C’s Writers Collective, a year long writers’ development programme for emerging artists concluding with their work being performed as a part of the Big Share at The Space Theatre, August 2023.

GOOD BOY is their first play.

Sophia Vi | Director

Sophia Vi is a Transgender British-Greek Cypriot writer, director, actor and CEO of Koupepia Films. She trained at The London Studio Center and The International School of Screen Acting.

In November 2023, Sophia was featured in British Vogue x Nike x Not A Phase as apart of Edward Enninful's representation campaign that was guest edited by international transgender celebrity and model Munroe Bergdorf. Sophia has recently written and produced 2 short films through her production company - Koupepia and Façade.

Notable theatrical directorial and associate work includes Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap (West End, Movement Director), The Mirror Crack’d (UK National Tour, Associate Director), Good Boy (The Space Theatre, Director), Dear Lupin (West End, Assistant Director) and multiple projects with the internationally acclaimed Secret Cinema.

Focussing now on her writing and producing, Sophia seeks use her production company, Koupepia Films, to create short form stories of LGBT+ joy that can be developed for long form features.

Sarah Lawrie | Producer

Producer Sarah Lawrie has been making theatre since 2013, and it has a special interest in telling stories with a socio-political bent and elevating queer voices. Most recently she produced the European premiere of 1979 (Finborough Theatre), three-times Off West End Award nominated THE QUALITY OF MERCY (Courtyard Theatre/EdFringe 2023), THE GOOD DAD (EdFringe 2023/Playground Theatre, in association with Victim Support), SHUTTERS: A LESBIAN ROCK OPERA (Omnibus Theatre, in association with Diva Magazine) and Arts Council funded web series LEAR ALONE which won Best Series at Off West End’s OnComm Awards 2022, and was presented in association with Crisis UK.

Other recent work includes ASSISTED (EdFringe 2022 - nominated for the BBC Writers’ Room Popcorn Award), THIS BITTER EARTH (White Bear), LOVE & DESTRUCTION (Playground Theatre), LEAVES (Jermyn Street Theatre), POWER LUNCHEON (Hope Theatre), SCROUNGER (Finborough Theatre – winner of Best New Play at the Off West End Awards 2021), web series LATE NIGHT STARING AT HIGH RES PIXELS (winner of London Pub Theatre’s Standing Ovation Award for Best Theatre Online) and TIMELESS (Space Theatre and touring).

Sarah is a founding member of And Tomorrow Theatre Company, whose inaugural production, DEATH OF A HUNTER, premiered at the Finborough Theatre in 2018 and transferred to the Brighton Fringe Festival. In 2019 she produced the world premiere of EDRED, THE VAMPYRE for The London Horror Festival. Vanessa Garber | Sound Designer

Vanessa possesses the unique combination of talent, education, and experience. As a professional composer, sound designer, and multi- instrumentalist with a passion for innovation, Vanessa has consistently demonstrated the ability to create captivating auditory experiences that transport audiences into immersive worlds.

With over two decades of experience as a flautist and playing four other woodwind instruments, her proficiency as a musician is undeniable. Having attended Berklee College of Music and completed an MSc in Sound Design at the University of Edinburgh, Vanessa has honed her understanding of both music theory and sound technology. This diverse educational background has allowed Vanessa to seamlessly blend traditional musical elements with cutting-edge audio techniques, resulting in soundscapes that elevate storytelling to new heights.

As a woman who is part of the global majority, Vanessa brings a unique perspective and voice to the field of sound design. Her commitment to representing underrepresented voices is evident in her work and advocacy. By infusing stories with diverse soundscapes and amplifying marginalised narratives, Vanessa fosters inclusivity and authenticity in her projects. Her dedication to empowering others and creating opportunities for marginalised communities demonstrates her potential to contribute positively to any creative team.

Somebody Jones | Dramaturg

Somebody is Programme Dramaturg for The Writers’ Collective, a Mrs C’s Collective initiative.

Somebody Jones is a Los Angeles native playwright/dramaturg, currently living, working, and dreaming in London. Jones received a Bachelor’s in Theatre with an Emphasis in Playwrighting from the University of Southern California and a Master’s in Dramaturgy and Writing for Performance from Goldsmiths University of London. Jones’s work celebrates and champions Black culture in all of its charms and complexities. The playwright primarily works within the genres of horror, magical realism, verbatim, and recently, Black fantasy. Somebody Jones is currently Paines Plough's Playwright Fellow.

Formerly, Somebody Jones was a part of Soho Theatre's Writers' Lab (London, 2022), an Artistic Associate with Nouveau Riche (London, 2022), a Creative Associate at Jermyn Street Theatre (London, 2021) and a part of Boston Court's first Playwrights' Group (Los Angeles, 2021).

The name Somebody Jones means the more you run from your past, the more you'll run into it.
Somebody was the winner of the Soho Theatre's Tony Craze Award in 2022 for her play All My Friends Are Dead.
