"I'm the last man left, and I'm staying that way until the end. I'm not capitulating!"
Inspired by Eugène Ionesco's Rhinoceros, Rhino! is a physical theatre performance blending Tanztheater with drama. Created through collaborative devising with an international ensemble, it reimagines the classic through the lens of today's digital age, where algorithms, online communities and fear shape how people think, connect and divide.
Blending movement, text and live projection, Rhino! takes audiences into a world where the boundaries between reality and representation begin to blur. The performance asks what makes us turn into rhinos today—and whether our humanity can survive in an increasingly polarised world.
This performance will be in English and Japanese.
