Trainee Associate Artists

to join us in 2025

Today 3rd July 2025 — Theatro Technis is excited to announce a call for emerging theatre artists to join our trainee Associate Artists programme. We are commissioning four Camden-based artists to develop and showcase new work as part of a special Scratch Night in December 2025.

Each selected artist will receive a £500 stipend to support the development of their piece and will have the opportunity to work closely with Theatro Technis as part of our growing creative community.

We are particularly keen to hear from artists from migrant and global majority backgrounds, whose voices and stories are vital to the future of theatre in the UK.

Eligibility (must have)

  • Artists working in theatre: with professional experience, recent graduate or early in their career and least 18 years old.

  • Must live in the borough of Camden

  • Open to individuals from all theatre disciplines, including writers, composers, theatre designers and people who make their own shows which they then perform  

  • And those who have an affinity to Theatro Technis and its history, ethos and or values

About the Opportunity
For over 60 years, Theatro Technis, an independent theatre in London, has been dedicated to fostering creativity, community, and collaboration in the arts. This year, we’re taking it further by inviting artists to join us as Associate Artists, providing valuable resources and support as they develop their work and connections within the creative industry. Selected Associate Artists will enjoy numerous benefits, including:

  • Peer-to-Peer Networking Opportunities with fellow artists.

How to Apply
Applications are open until midnight on August 1, 2025

Interested artists can choose to apply in the following ways:

​

  1. Submit a CV (up to two sides of A4)  

  2. Record a video (no longer than 5 minutes) introducing yourself, sharing your journey, reasons for applying, and your aspirations as an Associate Artist at Theatro Technis.
